3D Printing: MakerBot

Just the thought of printing anything you want, amazes me.  Students have brilliant and crazy idea all the time, with 3D printing those ideas could become usable tools.  My 6 second Vine video shows off the MakerBot Replicator2 3D Printer in action.

Sarah McFadden shared this video and robohand link with me.  The video is a bit long at 10 minutes but gives you the idea behind 3D printing.  I feel 3D printers like MakerBot can impact the world around us.

I believe it was Steve Jobs that said, “Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.”

I encourage you to experience a 3D printer soon.  Also, check out the recent Bismarck Tribune article about Robohand and 3D printing.
