Learn with Homer is a FREE iPad app that is designed for early elementary students.  This app is very comprehensive and engaging for students learning to read.  Homer is a pigeon that helps students on their voyage to reading success.  The app is also illustrated very nicely to help engage students with the content they are presented with.  Students will learn the 44 phonemes, blend sounds, and see skills modeled.  Learn with Homer also allows students to learn new ideas with startling facts and extends scientific learning.  Check out the Learn with Homer website and the parent resources.  I really like this app for early readers and encourage you to introduce it to your students.  Just click on the image to download this app.
