I had a chance to see a 3D printer this summer along with some of the objects it created.   These printers are awesome!  Imagine creating anything in 3D and printing it to use in the real world.  “How much do they cost?  My school district could never afford one.” 3D printers are not cheap, but think about this for a minute.  Do you have 5 SMARTBoards in your school that are used as a high-quality screen for the projector?  If you do, then you could have bought a 3D printer!
