Gamestar Mechanic is a great, FREE way to get students thinking about what they could create.  Most video game creation focuses on programming and this is one of the ways Gamestar Mechanic is different.  To design a game, students will only need to drag and drop content so it makes it easier for students that don’t understand the programming side of things yet.  On the Gamestar Mechanic’s website it has sections for teachers and parents.  The video embedded below explains more about Gamestar Mechanic and how it can be used in the classroom.
